Purveyors of Winter Warmth & Summer Shade On the banks of beautiful Lake Rousseau |
|||||
| As your hosts at Lake Rousseau RV and Fishing Resort, we want to invite you to a feast for your eyes and a dose of calm for your spirit, under our vast canopy of ancient live oak trees, here at the water's edge. Come drown worms and catch trophy sized bass and crappie or plan a visit that includes kicking back on the porch and reading a good book. From breath-taking sunrises at the cove to gorgeous sunsets over the Lake, your days can be as active or as lazy as you like. | |||||

| If boating and fishing are what you like, our lake is one of the finest in the state for trophy sized bass and great crappie. Lake Rousseau was formed by the damming of the Withlacoochee River that flooded what was a cypress swamp. The natural springs of the Rainbow River; flowing into the Withlacoochie at Dunnellon, provide the Lake with an inexhaustible supply of fresh water year round. The water level never varies more than four inches, even in drought conditions. While fully navigable, the Lake is not traveled at high speeds and your fishing won't be disturbed by jet skis and wake from others passing by at break-neck pace. | |||||
| We're located on the widest part of the Lake just above the Inglis Dam, and are adjacent to some of the most popular fishing spots on the Lake. Also, less than two miles from the Park there's a new County launch where you can put in and reach the Gulf in about seven miles. So, fresh water or salt water, we've got access to both. | |||||
| If socializing is more your style, you'll love our friendly residents and may want to spend your time playing bingo or just visiting with your new neighbors. Many of our guests have been coming here for more than twenty years and will welcome you to join the fun here at beautiful Lake Rousseau RV and Fishing Resort. | |||||
